5th Sept 2024 Teacher’s Day
Published On: September 4, 2024
*Dear Teachers, Mentors, Well-Wishers, and Patients,*
On this special occasion of Teachers’ Day, I extend my deepest gratitude to all of you. Your unwavering guidance, support, and trust have been the pillars that have shaped me into a person who values hard work, integrity, and a commitment to serve others. You’ve taught me the importance of pursuing excellence without shortcuts and the profound joy that comes from helping the underprivileged, without seeking any personal gain.
To my patients, especially those battling tuberculosis—who have faced isolation from their families and communities—you are like gods to me. For more than 37 years, it has been my honor and privilege to care for you. Your trust in me strengthens my resolve to continue serving with passion and dedication.
I am also deeply grateful to my parents, who have always believed in me, and to everyone who has placed their trust in my abilities. The recognition and awards I have received, including the IMA Honorary Professor Award and the Best Academician Award, are testaments to the impact of your guidance and belief in me. These honors motivate me to continue contributing to the field of medicine and public health.
Most importantly, I want to express my heartfelt thanks to my wife, who has been my backbone through all my struggles and successes. Her unwavering support, especially in my work for underprivileged TB patients at the Sewri TB hospital where I served as Medical Superintendent, has been invaluable.
With sincere gratitude,
Dr. Rajendra Tatu Nanavare
