This moment is truly humbling, as it brings recognition not only to me but to the countless individuals and teams I have had the fortune of working with over the years. As a Chest Physician and Academic, my journey in medicine has spanned several decades, focusing primarily on combating tuberculosis and advancing health research. I have had the privilege of working in some of India’s most prestigious institutions, including the Group of TB Hospitals in Mumbai, and contributing to global health discussions on lung diseases, TB, and public health.Through my involvement with research, teaching, and editorial work for the Indian Journal of Tuberculosis, I have always strived to push the boundaries of what we can achieve through knowledge, dedication, and innovation. This award today celebrates the progress we have made, but it is also a reminder of the work that still lies ahead.I would like to express my deepest gratitude to BIG MADDY WALFARE FOUNDATION for this national recognition, which reaffirms my commitment to the fields of medicine and research. Let this event inspire us all to continue our endeavors toward improving healthcare and addressing the challenges that impact millions across our nation.Thank you, and my heartfelt congratulations to all the other awardees for their remarkable achievements.
