A Memorable National Teachers’ Day — 5 September 2026

A Memorable National Teachers’ Day — 5 September 2026 Yesterday was a memorable milestone in my academic and professional journey. On the auspicious occasion of National Teachers’ Day, 5 September 2026, I had the privilege of participating in the National Convocation Ceremony of the IMA Academy of Medical Specialities (IMA AMS). At this national programme, 12 doctors who had fulfilled the prescribed eligibility requirements were conferred Fellowship in their respective fields of medical specialization. I feel privileged to have been among the doctors honoured with this postgraduate professional Fellowship. Receiving this recognition on Teachers’ Day made the occasion particularly meaningful to me. For a doctor, learning never ends; clinical experience, teaching, research and continuous updating of medical knowledge ultimately have one common purpose—better care for our patients. I accept this Fellowship not merely as an additional credential, but as recognition as well as a responsibility to continue learning, teaching, mentoring and serving the medical profession and society.
